We began building Syllo in 2019, shortly after Google’s release of BERT and OpenAI’s release of GPT-2, two precursors to recent advancements in generative artificial intelligence. We designed Syllo from the start to be integrated with and improve upon the evolving state of the art in artificial intelligence.
Syllo thoughtfully integrates language model capabilities into the workflow of litigation teams. By leveraging our proprietary algorithms and advanced language models to find and surface relevant information, Syllo alleviates the painful workflows that predominate in litigation. Our centralized platform enables better case strategy, collaboration, information synthesis, motion practice, discovery control, and trial preparation.
Current AI systems cannot reliably replace lawyers or paralegals. Even the most advanced language models are unable to reliably exercise the nuanced legal, factual, and strategic judgments necessary for case preparation and presentation through discovery and trial.
Instead, large language models should be used to find and surface relevant information, perform document review, assist in document and data management, and automate rote information management work. To realize these outcomes, we created a new kind of integrated workspace. Syllo’s AI-powered litigation workspace is a digital case command center, where lawyers and paralegals are assisted by AI agents and language models throughout the litigation lifecycle.
Syllo places lawyers and paralegals at the center of its AI-powered workspace, empowering them to safely harness the remarkable advantages of AI.
Syllo’s AI systems are designed for rigorous and streamlined human review and feedback, and are customizable based on the expertise of case teams and practice groups. Lawyers and firms play a critical role in shaping and improving our superior AI systems, and Syllo is designed to facilitate and maximize your input.
