We are proud to announce that Syllo has been named the winner of the 2026 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Award for E-Discovery Technology.
This recognition honors the organizations pushing the boundaries of legal innovation and redesigning the way legal professionals work. Following the awards, Syllo CEO and Head of Product Jeffrey Chivers sat down with Legaltech News to discuss the shifting tides of the industry.
The End of AI Tourism
For the past two years, the legal industry has been defined by rapid experimentation. However, as Jeff noted in the interview, the era of greenlighting myriad POCs (proofs of concept) is drawing to a close.
Firms have moved past the initial “gold rush” and are now entering a phase of selective and discerning adoption. Having spent 2024 and 2025 testing various models, decision-makers are now looking for validated use cases and platforms that offer a clear, defensible ROI.
“The software landscape for litigation has been too fragmented for too long… This year firms have increasingly adopted and leaned into having a single unified platform to run their litigations.” – Jeff Chivers, Syllo CEO
Litigation as a Zero-Sum Game
Perhaps the most striking insight from the Q&A is the role of AI as a competitive necessity. Because litigation is inherently a zero-sum game, the asymmetric advantage of using superior litigation AI is becoming a market-defining force.
Firms that have already calibrated their pricing models and integrated AI into their core workflows are beginning to take major business from those lagging behind. The driver for innovation is efficiency, but more importantly, the need to ensure that counsel has tools that are comparable to, or better than, those of their opponents.
Looking Ahead
Syllo’s win for E-Discovery Technology at Legalweek reinforces our commitment to building a unified litigation workspace where facts, evidence, and strategy converge. As we continue to accelerate our innovation with new strategic hires, we remain dedicated to providing litigators with the asymmetric advantage they need to win.
